Marty Bachman is the editor and operator of the Kirksville Daily Express, a solo newsroom in Kirksville, Missouri producing roughly 40 stories a week for both print and web. Over a 35-plus year career he has worked as a reporter, editor, photographer, videographer, filmmaker, documentarian, writer, and graphic artist — a career built across more than a dozen newsrooms, including the Palo Verde Valley Times, the De Queen Bee, and the Kirksville Daily Express itself. He founded the City Newspaper Group (Colton City News, Grand Terrace City News, Loma Linda City News, and Redlands City News), Desert Biker Magazine, and Kirksville Quarterly Magazine.
